The Sochi Winter Olympics are almost upon us, and there is no better way to get in the spirit than ice skaing in Boston. Ice skating has become a New England tradition over the years and is the perfect way to enjoy the winter season. During the winter months, Boston Common's Frog Pond is turned into a public outdoor skating rink. Ice skating can be a fun activity for an entire family or the perfect romantic date. This ice rink is open everyday of the week, and children & adults of all ages are welcome to join in the fun! Frog Pond ice rink is located conveniently in the middle of the historic Boston Common, which is the United States's oldest park.
Normally there is an admission and rental fee for ice skating at Frog Pond, but for 44 days Liberty Mutual is giving away free ice skating passes. Each day 100 adult skating/rental passes and 100 children rental (no skating charge for children under the age of 13) will be available to the public. You can get tickets by signing up online and reserving a day to go. Each individual can reserve up to four passes. This festive deal will last until the close of the Winter Olympics on February 23, 2014. This is the type of deal you do not want to miss out on!
