The event takes place February 16 and 17 at the Boston Seaport World Trade Center. The Grand Tasting will feature almost 2,000 different wines, along with food samplings and other wine related products. Some of the wineries being showcased include the Alexander Valley Vineyard from Sonoma County and Roncolato Antonio of Italy. Brix Chocolate specializes in chocolates to be paired with wine. Each of their chocolates has been specially blended to pair perfectly with different wines and bubbly. Fianco a Fianco specializes in different biscotti and the wines or other beverages they are traditionally paired with. This New York couple found themselves living in Genoa, Italy and developed comfort and satisfaction by exploring classic Italian cooking methods and flavors. Their first biscotti was Biscottini al Pesto and pairs well with white wine as a pre- or post-dinner treat. Now, they have expanded to ten different flavors and will be sharing their passion for Italian food at the Wine Expo. In addition to the grand tasting, seminars are also taking place and offer classes such as Wine 101 with Wine Spectator's Director of Education. In this class, you can learn how to taste wine like a pro. Gloria Maroti Frazee will teach you about
different wine styles, tasting techniques and grape varieties. This class is great for novice wine drinkers as well as seasoned wine connoisseurs.
